QA Manager
**Kelly Scientific Resources is searching for a QA Manager in Agawam, MA.**


**As a member of the Leadership Team, the QA Manager is responsible for ensuring that the company complies with all quality, ethical and regulatory requirements. The QA Manager is expected to act as a resource, trainer, and troubleshooter to all departments, making recommendations for operational and/or technical improvements where necessary.**


**QA Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following** **:**


**·Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate**


**·Demonstrates and promotes the company vision**


**·Regular attendance and punctuality**


**·Ensures compliance with applicable regulations, such as GLP, EPA, NELAC, State programs, and A2LA**


**·Review client or agency documents and identify requirements outside ESA's usual practices, communicate to lab operations, assist with implementing appropriate changes**


**·Keep abreast of regulatory or industry quality assurance (QA) requirements, consult with clients or regulatory authorities regarding any special QA requirements they may have, assist lab operations with application and interpretation**


**·Prepare and present ethics and QA training programs as needed to satisfy company and regulatory requirements**


**·Provide information for updating company publications including quality policy manuals, company web site, and newsletters**


**·Identify and drive system improvements; determine the most effective way to accomplish a goal or strategy; suggest improvements to maximize quality and productivity**


**·Perform data review (analytical, validation, investigations), review for compliance and identify issues, provide options for resolution**


**·Review QC data and nonconformance issues, evaluate for trends or patterns**


**·Investigate and document QA, method, and regulatory deficiencies within the lab; diagnose and solve problems independently**


**·Implement and document computer program changes, review computer system documents, provide feedback to meet regulatory and industry expectations**


**·Perform internal laboratory audits (traceability, observation, and comprehensive), and keep management informed of issues**


**·Work with client and agency auditors, respond to findings, consult with clients concerning their needs and problems**


**·Perform all QA functions in compliance with quality policy and regulatory requirements**


**·Approve written SOPs**


**·Ensure required certifications and/or accreditations are maintained**


**·Provide weekly/monthly/quarterly quality reports to management, review for trends and the timeliness of lab operations' completion of quality processes**


**·Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner**


**·Performs other duties as assigned**


**·Lead team, schedule, and train employees**


**·Ensure adherence to highest quality and efficiency standards in laboratory operations**


**·Ensure coverage and performance**


**·Foster morale and teamwork**


**The ideal candidate would possess** **:**


**·Knowledge of applicable EPA, NELAC and State programs**


**·Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills**


**·Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail**


**·Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude**


**·Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies**


**·Strong leadership, initiative, and teambuilding skills**


**Basic Minimum Qualifications** **:**


**·Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)**


**·Minimum of 3 years QA experience**


**·Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship**


**Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Agawam, Massachusetts are encouraged to apply.**
